Terms of Service

Please read before booking a delivery with Moveasy.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Moveasy Delivery Services website and booking platform ("Moveasy," "we," "us," "our"). By booking a delivery, requesting a quote, or otherwise using this site, you ("you," "customer") agree to the Terms below. If you do not agree, please don't use our services.

1. Intellectual Property & Proprietary Pricing

All content on this site — including our pricing methodology, rate formulas, route data, zone maps, branding, and site design — is the exclusive property of Moveasy Delivery Services. You may not copy, scrape, reverse-engineer, reproduce, or redistribute this content, in whole or in part, for any commercial purpose without our prior written permission.

Any price shown to you is a quote for your specific booking only and does not disclose or constitute our underlying pricing formula or business methodology.

2. Nature of Our Service

Moveasy operates as a common carrier under Philippine law (Civil Code, Art. 1732), meaning we transport goods for compensation and hold ourselves out to the general public. This means we owe you extraordinary diligence in the vigilance over your cargo (Civil Code, Art. 1733), and by law, if your goods are lost, damaged, or deteriorate while in our care, we are presumed to be at fault unless we can show otherwise (Civil Code, Art. 1735).

3. Booking, Quotes & Payment

Quoted prices are estimates based on the information you provide (pickup/drop-off location, item details, and delivery type) and may be adjusted if the actual cargo, distance, or accessibility differs materially from what was declared at booking. Bookings and confirmations made through this website are valid and binding electronic transactions under the Electronic Commerce Act of the Philippines (RA 8792), with the same legal effect as a signed paper agreement.

Payment. We accept cash, GCash, bank transfer and check. Checks are made payable to the business account named on your quote. When payment is due (for example, a deposit before the trip or full payment on delivery) is stated on your quote.

4. Cancellation & Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule free of charge any time before our truck is dispatched for your pickup. Once the truck is already on the way or at the pickup point, a cancellation or failed-pickup charge may apply to cover the trip already made; we'll tell you the amount before charging it. To cancel or move your date, call or message us as early as you can.

5. Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate pickup/drop-off addresses, contact details, and item information. Inaccurate or incomplete information may result in delivery delays, additional charges, misdelivery, or cancellation — and to the extent a loss or delay is caused by information you provided incorrectly, that falls outside our extraordinary diligence obligation under Article 1734 of the Civil Code.

6. Items We Don't Carry

For the safety of our crew, your cargo and other people on the road, we don't transport:

  • •Illegal goods, prohibited drugs, or anything without proper permits where permits are required;
  • •Firearms, ammunition, explosives, and fireworks;
  • •Flammable, toxic, or corrosive materials, such as fuel, filled LPG tanks, paint thinner, and chemicals;
  • •Live animals;
  • •Perishable goods that need refrigeration (we don't run refrigerated vans);
  • •Cash, jewelry, and important documents, unless declared and agreed with us before pickup.

If you're not sure about an item, ask us before booking. We may refuse or unload any item that falls under this list.

7. Safety & Accessibility

Delivery to a specific address is not guaranteed if the location is found to be impassable, unsafe, or outside our staff's safety protocols. See our Safety Protocol for details.

8. Liability for Loss, Damage, or Delay

As a common carrier, Moveasy is liable for the loss, destruction, or damage of goods in our custody, except where caused by one of the specific circumstances recognized under Article 1734 of the Civil Code:

  • •Flood, storm, earthquake, lightning, or other natural disaster or calamity;
  • •Act of the public enemy in war, whether international or civil;
  • •Act or omission of the shipper or owner of the goods;
  • •The character of the goods or a defect in the packing or in the containers; or
  • •Order or act of competent public authority.

Outside of these specific exceptions, we cannot and do not attempt to disclaim liability more broadly than the law allows — a blanket "we are not liable for loss or damage" clause would not be enforceable against a common carrier under Philippine law (Civil Code, Art. 1745), and we'd rather be upfront about that than hide behind fine print.

Notice of claims. If your goods arrive damaged or are not delivered, you must notify us in writing within twenty-four (24) hours of the scheduled delivery time to preserve your claim, consistent with the notice period recognized under the Code of Commerce. Claims not raised within this window may be difficult for either of us to substantiate or resolve fairly.

Declared value. For high-value shipments, we encourage you to declare the value of your goods at the time of booking. This helps us apply the appropriate level of care and gives both parties clarity on the value at stake.

9. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Act of the Philippines (RA 7394) or other applicable consumer protection law. If any provision of these Terms conflicts with a non-waivable right you hold under Philippine law, that law controls.

10. Your Personal Data

We collect limited personal information — such as your name, phone number, email address, and pickup/drop-off addresses — solely to process your booking, communicate with you about your delivery, and improve our service. We handle this information in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) and its implementing rules.

  • •What we collect: name, contact number, email, delivery addresses, and booking details you provide.
  • •Why: to create and fulfill your booking, send confirmations and updates, respond to inquiries, and meet legal or regulatory requirements.
  • •Who we share it with: only our own delivery staff and the service providers that operate this platform (e.g., hosting, email, payment processing) — never sold to third parties for marketing.
  • •Your rights: under the Data Privacy Act, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may object to certain processing, subject to legal and legitimate business exceptions (e.g., records we're required to keep for accounting purposes).

For any data privacy request or concern, contact us through the details on your booking receipt or our Contact page. Full details are in our Privacy Policy; this section is the plain-language summary.

11. Limitation of Liability — Other Matters

Outside of the cargo-liability rules in Section 8, Moveasy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (such as lost business opportunities) arising from delays or issues outside our reasonable control, including force majeure events, except where such a limitation would be void under Philippine law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our service or in applicable law. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We'll update the date at the bottom of this page when changes are made.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of our service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the appropriate courts of the Philippines.

Questions about these terms? Contact us through the details provided on your booking receipt.
